Width of proposed street to be 20 feet wide. Scope of Work (Base Bid) - Reconstruct existing city street by pulvermixing existing roadway into the subgrade and compacting. Compaction to be verified by Proof Rolling. Contractor to then spray an MC30 prime coat at a rate of 0.15 Gal/SY. Finally, the Contractor shall place a new, HMAC travel surface. HMAC shall be 2 inches thick, compacted, TxDOT Type "D" mix. Scope of Work (Alternate Bid) - Reconstruct existing city street by scarifying and removing existing asphalt roadway as necessary to construct an 8-inch-thick concrete street. Contractor to compact subgrade and verify compaction by Proof Rolling. New concrete travel surface shall be 8 inches thick, Class "C" concrete. The concrete shall be reinforced with #4 bars on 16-inch centers each way. Spot base repairs will be necessary on this street due to base/subgrade structural failures. Repairs to be made by over-excavating the areas to a depth of 12 inches and placing TxDOT spec, limestone base and compacting. Contractor to then spray a MC-30 prime coat at a rate of 0.15 Gal/SY.
