PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of installing approximately 1000 feet of 12-inch C900 DR-14 PVC recycled water main with fittings, valves, and appurtenances in accordance with UCI Facilities Management Master Specifications, UCI Facilities Management Campus Standards, and Details. Where applicable, IRWD details may be incorporated by the University for its convenience. For reference, further details are provided herein. They are not exhaustive of all the work of the project, which is more fully described in the contract documents, sketches, and referenced details. The main route passes through the iconic Aldrich Park portion of the campus, between irreplaceable signature trees, which must be protected in place during the project. Otherwise, the route is largely through grass-covered areas with small asphalt pathways. The contractor will provide surveyed record drawings that show every aspect of the work in both horizontal and vertical arrangements. ESTIMATED CONTRACT TIME: 60 Days Prequalification questionnaires will be available electronically at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from UCI Design & Construction Services. Prequalification questionnaires must be received by 5:00 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025 by email to laditam@uci.edu. UCI reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this notice, to waive non-material irregularities, and to deem Contractors prequalified for the project. To prequalify, Contractors must agree to comply with all conditions including state prevailing wages, 10% bid bond, 100% payment and performance bonds, and insurance requirements. The successful Contractor will hold a current and active General Engineering Contractor (A) license.
