Manitoba Hydro is seeking a Construction Manager Services to engage in the renovation and expansion of a modern 800 m² Fitness Facility to support employee wellness at Manitoba Hydro Place (360 Portage). This renovation project will include an expansion of the existing fitness area to include studio space, self-service resistance and cardio training, and modifications of the existing locker room facility. Manitoba Hydro would like to leverage the Construction Manager at Risk project delivery model to meet the following high-level goals for the work: Cost efficiency: leverage a design-to-budget approach and strong engagement during the design phase by the Construction Manager Expedited schedule: constructability reviews, pre-ordering of long lead-time items, and sequential tendering of subtrades to optimize project schedule Quality of space: high quality end product that optimizes life-cycle investments Sustainability The right Construction Manager partner for this project will be highly collaborative and propose innovative methods during the pre-construction and construction phase to achieve excellent results.
