Site work and paving for a civil project in Lincoln, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Replacement of G-114, G-226, G-115 & G-222 Question Deadline 07/07/2025 at 2:00 PM CT The existing 5-span 300-foot by 24-foot steel girder bridge over Salt Creek will be removed and replaced with a 3-span 310-foot by 30-foot pre-stressed concrete girder bridge. Bank shaping and the placement of 60.3 cubic yards of Type B rock riprap will permanently impact 0.019 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetland. Approximately 84.2 cubic yards of Type B rock riprap will be placed below the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) and will permanently impact 0.026 acre (83 linear feet (lf)) of channel below the OHWM. Two 45-foot by 10-foot bridge piers will be constructed and will impact 0.01 acre of channel below the OHWM. Additional impacts from construction of the bridge piers will be superseded by the permanent impacts from the placement of riprap. Total permanent impacts will be 0.019 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetland and 0.036 acre (83 lf) of channel below the OHWM. Temporary coffer dams and a temporary crossing will be used for construction. Two sheet pile cofferdams will be constructed around the existing bridge piers and new bridge pier locations. The south coffer dam will be 57 feet by 15.6 feet and the north cofferdam will be 57 feet by 21.9 feet. The coffer dams will be dewatered with a trash pump that will discharge into the channel. The coffer dams will temporarily impact 0.049 acre (57 lf) of channel below the OHWM and will be in place for no more than 180 days from the start of construction. An approximate 20-foot by 125.8-foot temporary bridge will be constructed across Salt Creek immediately east of the bridge. The temporary bridge will impact 0.058 acre (20 lf) of channel below the OHWM and will be in place for no more than 270 days from the start of construction. Construction activities, including equipment tracks and material storage, will temporarily impact 0.013 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetland. Total temporary impacts will be 0.013 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel wetland and 0.107 acre (77 lf) of channel below the OHWM
