MILES ROAD RESURFACING certified check or cashiers check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid but in no event less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). The amount of such bond or check to be paid to the Village as stipulated for liquidated damages in the event that the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract under the terms of his/her bid within fourteen (14) days after being notified of the award of the contract to such bidder. When a Contract is entered into, a Surety Bond satisfactory to the Village in an amount equal to 100% of the total bid shall be furnished. No bidder may withdraw his/her proposal within 45 days after the opening thereof. The right is reserved to accept any bidder, to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the Village of North Randall to do so. This work shall consist of planing the existing asphalt overlay to the depths and limits shown on the Typical Sections. This item shall consist of the repair of deteriorated asphalt areas as per the detail. Work areas shall be as directed by the Engineer. This item shall consist of removing and installing concrete curb ramps and adjacent concrete walk at locations shown in the plans and as designated by the Engineer. Curb Ramp including placement of the truncated domes shall be the areas between the face of the pavement curb (or pavement edge) and the existing front sidewalk that is parallel to the street. Curbing removed and replaced in the curb ramp area is to be included in the square foot price for the ramp. Any associated concrete walk replaced adjacent to a curb ramp shall be included under this item. This item shall consist of adjusting catch basin casting or manhole casting structure to the proper finished grade. This item shall include the repairing of the top three layers of brick below the rim if the brick and mortar is deteriorated, loose, missing, or falling apart. This item shall consist of installing pavement markings to replace all markings which exist prior to the start of this project. This would include, but not be limited to centerline, edgeline, stop bars, and crosswalk lines. This item also includes the repair or replacement of any loop detectors affected by the construction of this project.
