Renovation of a fire / police facility in Quincy, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The project includes select demolition of overhead doors, masonry and structural components; construction of structural supports for new door openings; furnishing and installing two (2) replacement overhead doors; masonry repairs; salvaging and reinstallation of electric door operators and controllers; and related construction items. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that no less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
