Site work, paving, renovation and addition to a civil project in Westfield, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a road / highway; for the renovation of a road / highway; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Project has not been awarded yet and a timeline for award has not been established yet ** 102 South Union Street Relocation and Rehabilitation Project generally includes rehabilitation and renovation of the commercial structure located at approximately 102 South Union, Westfield, Indiana, once moved to its new location at 214 North Union Street, Westfield, Indiana. The project includes site preparation, utility extensions to the site, new foundations, structural stabilization and improvements, building rehabilitation, construction of a rear addition, new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, R-13 fire suppression, and other site and building improvements for the building's mixed use as commercial with second floor single apartment unit and basement. The Owner has contracted with Wolfe Building Movers for the structure relocation work, but coordination with the building move contractor will be required. A qualified bidder or bidders shall be determined by the City of Westfield as having the necessary historic preservation, building rehabilitation and building moving experience with demonstrated qualifications and sensitivity to perform work on buildings listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. THE PROJECT SCOPE INVOLVES THE RELOCATION OF A HISTORIC 2-STORY WOOD FRAME COMMERCIAL BUILDING. THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE BUILDING HAS HOUSED VARIOUS COMMERCIAL FUNCTIONS, INCLUDING A PHARMACY, RESTAURANT, AND MOST RECENTLY, A DANCE STUDIO. THE SECOND FLOOR HAS SERVED A RESIDENTIAL FUNCTION AND HAS NOT BEEN OCCUPIED IN MANY YEARS. THE BASEMENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN UTILITARIAN IN NATURE HISTORICALLY BUILT ON A BRICK FOUNDATION, ONCE MOVED THE BUILDING WILL REST ON A NEW POURED CONCRETE FOUNDATION IN ITS NEW LOCATION. THE BASEMENT WILL PROVIDE MECHANICAL SPACE FOR THE UPPER FLOORS. THE FIRST FLOOR WILL HOUSE A COMMERCIAL FUNCTION, LIKELY MERCANTILE IN NATURE. THE SECOND FLOOR WILL RETURN TO RESIDENTIAL USE.
