The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha d/b/a Metro ("Metro") is requesting bid from qualified responsible contractors for the performance of Work (as defined in the IFB Documents) in conformity with the Contract Documents (as defined in the IFB Documents). Prospective Bidders should refer to the Bid Documents for a detailed description of the Base Bid including the required deliverables and end products. For informational purposes only, the Work includes, but is not limited to,the following:Removal and replacement of the drive o aisle concrete on both the north and south sides of the platform and on both the 30th Street (east) and 31st Avenue(west) ends of the transit center.Removal and replacement of the ADA o tactile pads and associated concrete ateach of the bus bays.Removal and replacement of the o sidewalk approaches to the transit center on the east side of 31st Avenue and on the west side of 30th Street.Extend the Metro only use parking on the o south side of the transit center directly west of the driver restroom building.Remove overgrown vegetation o surrounding the driver restroom area. Remove and replacement of shrubs,o trees and grass in the planted area on the west end, east end, the landscaped portion of the platform and north side of the transit center north drive aisle.Replace irrigation system elements as o needed to cover the replaced turf and shrubs areas and provide connection to the irrigation control.Install a conduit(s) from the technology o closet in the west end semi-enclosed waiting area, through the west walland extending north and south to the first set of lights on the west end of the transit center. The conduit will house afuture cable for security cameras on the westernmost light poles.Install Owner supplied security cameras o to the westerly-most light poles on the north and south sides of the drive aisle.Install fencing around the driver o restroom area, including a lockable gate.Install trench drains on the north and o south sides of the semi-enclosed waiting area with connections to the existing sanitary sewer.Remove the concrete walkway to theodriver restrooms and replace with an ADA compliant walkway, including an ADA tactile pad.Replace benches and trash receptacle soon the platform and in the semi-enclosed waiting area. Additional project details are provided in the solicitation. Metro reserves the right to modify all or any of the same at any time prior to the Submission Deadline through an Addendum.Without limitation to any right of Metro set forth in the Bid Documents, it is anticipated that Metro will award a firm fixed price (lumpsum of aggregate of unit prices) Contract to the responsible bidder whose bid complies with bid requirements and is lowest in price. It is anticipated that the Contract will be awarded no later than (30) days after the date of the Bid Opening.
