SCOPE OF WORK includes: NEW BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS WITH NATURAL TURF; DRAINAGE; EARTHWORK; PLUMBING; ELECTRICAL INCLUDING NEW SPORTS AND PEDESTRIAN LIGHTING; CONCRETE SEAT WALLS; EXERCISE EQUIPMENT; PICKLEBALL; STREET HOCKEY; NEW VEHICLE ENTRANCE AND PARKING; ASPHALT AND CONCRETE PAVING; DECKING; HANDRAILS; CURBS; PLAYGROUND AND WATER SPRAY AREA; SITE FURNISHINGS; LANDSCAPING; AND VARIOUS SITE FENCES. Estimated cost of contract is $15,000,000. BIDDERS are hereby notified that bid deposits must be 5 percent of his/her bid, and shall be in the form of a bid bond, or certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check, bid bond of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Commissioner made payable to the City of Boston. A performance bond and also a labor and materials or payment bond, each of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Commissioner and in the sum of 100 percent of the contract price, as well as certain public liability and property damage insurance, will be required of the successful general contractor The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any and all bids, if it be in the Public Interest to do so.
