In the event that any addenda are issued throughout the open period for this project, DCR will distribute these addenda via online, which will also email identified prospective at the time plans and specifications are issued. The project consists of considerable building envelope upgrades including the replacement or repair of underlying structure noted in the project set. The envelope upgrades of this 10,805 SF building consist of a new roof assembly and exterior continuous insulation with a thermally modified wood rain screen assembly. New windows, doors, and insulated overhead doors included in the envelope upgrades. Interior modifications segregating active shop space from office space. There are also several upgrades to the building mechanical and electrical systems including a roof mounted photovoltaic array. Additionally, an accessible parking area and entry area are included in site work. The work is to be accomplished within 550 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000.00 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). The proposed contract includes a combined requirement of 10.4% of the bid price for minority owned business enterprises and women-owned business enterprises. Proposed MBE/WBE plans that include solely MBE or solely WBE, or do not include a reasonable amount by both MBE and WBE firm to meet the combined requirement, will not be considered responsive. The applicable local minority workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 15.3%. The applicable local women workforce utilization percentage is a minimum requirement of 6.9%. The Commonwealth requires participation of Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises ("VOBE") on its construction projects. The Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise benchmark for this contract is 3.0%.
