As of August 7, 2025 project was awarded to CK May Excavating, Inc in the amount of $278,650.75 Gallatin County is requesting competitive sealed bids to repair cracks along the asphalt trails north and south of Huffine Lane from Shedhorn Drive to Cobb Hill Road and then complete an asphalt overlay of the repaired trails. Specifically, the project includes the following components: SCHEDULE 1: PAVEMENT REPAIR AND OVERLAY Repair cracks along the asphalt trails north and south of Huffine Lane from Shedhorn Drive to Cobb Hill Road and then completing an asphalt overlay of the repaired trails. The work will be completed within 90 calendar days after the notice to proceed date. The substantial completion and open to traffic date is November 1, 2025. The final completion and closeout punch list date shall be no later than November 15, 2025. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR'S subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) prior to award. All laborers and mechanics employed by the CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by law in Gallatin County and by Federal and State laws. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Gallatin County Treasurer, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The successful BIDDER shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided to Gallatin County prior to starting work. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed ninety (90) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
