Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bernards, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a parking garage; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The overall objective of this phase of work is to install an ADA compliant two-car parking area with a driveway and turnaround using the Dupont "Groundgrid" reinforced gravel system. The immediate, two-car parking area will be paved with properly laid asphalt, ADA compliant striping, logos, and signage. The paved areas will be edged with 6" high granite blocks. The gravel areas will be edged with drylaid, flush granite blocks for drainage and containment. This site work shall be located to the west of the existing English Barn, and shall include existing paved driveway removal, infill and regrading, a stone-faced retaining wall adjacent to part of the new driveway, trench drainage and piping, a riprap outflow conduit and pad, concrete sidewalks with a TWS from the parking area to the existing barn walkways, and a landscaped berm. The work shall also include an infill foundation between the existing CMU and concrete sonotube pier footings at the historic cowshed building located south of the proposed parking area. Prior to construction, all digging at the site will require coordination with the archeologist's inspections and investigations. Proper silt fencing, topsoil stockpiling, traffic pad installations, soil decompaction, seeding and mulching, and other Somerset Union Soil Conservation District specifications are required.
