As the purpose of this project/contract is to remove surplus materials and to mitigate the costs associated with disposal in a timely manner, GRU understands that disposing of trash or materials that cannot be remediated into another use through this method is authorized. Many items might serve another purpose than originally designed, therefore we reserve the right to determine which materials will be disposed of this manner. Gainesville Regional Utilities will no longer be using the City of Gainesville Surplus group for disposing of surplus materials. We want to find an option for our organization to remove these items at no cost to us and avoid disposing of usable items into recycling or trash receptacles. Question Deadline 07/10/2025 at 11:00 AM ET Question Response Deadline: July 14, 2025, 5:00pm Respondents shall submit all inquiries regarding this bid via electronically Contractor Selection Date: August 21, 2025 1. The term of this Contract shall commence on the Contract execution and terminate on September 30, 2026. 2. Upon mutual agreement between Parties, this contract may be renewed for Three (3) One Year additional years. 3. Beyond the extensions described above, this Contract may be extended for an additional six (6) months to allow for completion of a new solicitation.
