Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Freetown, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Town of Freetown, by and through its Board of Selectmen, is soliciting requests for qualifications for professional engineering services to assist the Town in the project design (with MassDOT review and approval), and preparing and submitting all environmental and right-of-way permit applications for a bridge preservation project. The bridge is located on South Main Street, over the Assonet River. Proposers must have, or be firms employing, a person with a current license and registration by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a professional engineer, with a minimum of five years' experience in the design and permitting of infrastructure for historic bridge design and environmental permitting over a waterway. The fee will be negotiated with the selected Engineering Firm. The Freetown Board of Selectmen is the awarding authority. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to only award a contract if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
