Site work and paving for a road / highway in Nottingham, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Town of Nottingham NH is seeking bids for the paving of roads to be machine laid. Please submit a price per ton and amount of pavement per road in a similar format. Quotes should include grading, compaction, tack coat, joint ground, lane joint adhesive, driveway aprons, and flaggers. Aprons to meet Town specs as they apply to paved roads. All paved driveways will be notched to match the new pavement. Material and installation specifications on the following page. Base course thickness of 2 1/2 inches. Top wearing course of 1 1/2 inches. Work to commence upon award with completion of work no later than September 1, 2025. The Town of Nottingham reserves the right to accept any quote that is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject all quotes. Materials shall conform to Division 700 Materials: Section 702, Bituminous Materials and Section 703, Aggregates of the NHDOT Standard Specifications B. Liquid asphalt cement binder shall have a Performance Grade (PG) of PG 64-28 for all standard bituminous pavements and PG 76-28 for all high strength bituminous pavements. C. All 1/2" and 3/4" nominal aggregate Hot Bituminous Pavement Job Mixes shall conform to 50 Gyration super pave mix design criteria. All 3/8" nominal aggregate Hot Bituminous Pavement Job Mixes shall conform to 75 Gyration super pave mix design criteria. D. The Minimum Binder Content shall be 6.0% for 3/8" mix designs; 5.9% for 1/2" mix designs; and 5.1% for 3/4" mix designs. All pavement mixes shall have a maximum Total Reused Binder (TRB) content of 0.5% and meet all the volumetric mix design criteria. E. All base/binder pavement that is installed and left without a wearing course through the winter season shall be NHDOT's 19.0mm "Winter Binder" pavement mix design. The mix shall have a minimum liquid asphalt content of 5.3% and at least 50% dry aggregate passing the #4 sieve. Pavement Installation A. Methods of construction shall be in accordance with Division 400, Pavements, Section 403, Hot Bituminous Paving of the NHDOT Standard Specifications B. Hot Bituminous Pavement to be placed under NHDOT Section 401 "Method Requirements" (not "QC/QA"). C. Pavement Joint Adhesive (Item 403.6) shall be applied to longitudinal joints in accordance with NHDOT Section 401. D. Asphalt Emulsion for Tack Coat (Item 410.22) shall be applied between all pavement lifts, including existing and new pavement in accordance with NHDOT Section 410.
