Capital Improvement Program Interior Reconstruction - Contract No. 2 Plumbing Construction. Each Bidder must deposit, with their sealed bid, security in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid and all Alternate Bids in the proper form subject to the conditions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders (Section 8).All certified checks or bid bonds must be paid to PLAINVIEW OLD BETHPAGE LIBRARY. Performance Bonds Labor/Material Bonds and Maintenance Bond, as called for in the General Conditions are a requirement of each contract. The PLAINVIEW OLD BETHPAGE LIBRARY reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid, and/ or to accept any bid in whole or in part and/ or to award or not award the contract, if in the opinion of the PLAINVIEW OLD BETHPAGE LIBRARY, the best interest of the LIBRARY will thereby be served. This invitation is an offer to receive bids for a contract. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a formal contract in the form contained in the Contract Documents. Document Note: A REFUNDABLE deposit in the amount of ($50.00) is required in the form of a BUSINESS CHECK made payable to (PLAINVIEW OLD BETHPAGE PUBLIC LIBRARY). The bid deposit shall be refunded to each bidder only if the plans and specifications are returned to ISLAND DIGITAL REPROGRAPHICS in good condition, with no handwritten notations within (30) calendar days after the bid opening date. All bid package deposits shall be forfeited to the LIBRARY after the (30) days have elapsed. Any person or corporation who fails to submit a bid shall forfeit their deposit to the LIBRARY in its entirety. All questions about the Bidding Documents must be submitted to the Architect in writing. Replies will be issued in writing to all bidders of record as addenda to the Bidding Documents and will become part of the contract. Replies issued in any other manner will not be binding. The Architect will not be responsible for oral clarifications.
