**As of August 13th, 2025, the project was awarded to Sprinturf, LLC, with an awarded amount of $6,471,202.11.** JohnD Winters Softball Fields Synthetic Turf Conversion Project Summary The Carson City Centennial Softball Fields (JohnD Winters Park) Renovation Project consists of the conversion of four (4) softball fields from natural grass and infield fines to synthetic turf. Irrigation scope includes the installation of additional mainline and quick couplers at each field for turf cooling and maintenance. Demolition will involve the removal of the top 4" of field organic profile, to be stockpiled at Lower Centennial Park, removal of base anchors, and existing irrigation heads and pipe that conflicts with proposed field profile. Select sections of courtyard fencing will be removed to accommodate improved access and walkways. New gates will be installed along the fencing extensions for ball protection, secure site capabilities, and maintenance access. The Contractor will be responsible for any required permits, site safety and protection of public from hazards at all times during construction. Existing infrastructure (signage and striping, driveways, curb and gutter, sidewalk, utilities) will be returned to current or better condition. This project is locally funded. This project is not subject to BABAA requirements. This project is deemed a horizontal construction project. There are no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/Small Business Enterprise (SBE) program goals for this procurement.
