The limits of the project on US Route 20 are 0.3 mile west of Illinois Route 73 to 0.3 mile east of IL 73. The net length and gross length is 3,035 feet (0.575 miles). DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work consists of earthwork, temporary culverts, and tree removal in advance of the reconstruction of US Route 20 and Illinois Route 73 including grade changes and a temporary runaround as part of a future contract. Unless otherwise indicated, a proposal guaranty is required by bid bonds, cashiers check or properly certified check for not less than 5 (five) percent of the bid amount. If the proposal is accepted and the bidder is declared "not responsive," it is hereby agreed that the amount of the proposal guaranty will become the property of the State of Illinois and shall be considered as payment of damages due to the delay and other causes suffered by the State because of the failure to adhere to the procedures required. Otherwise, the bid bond will become void or the proposal guaranty check will be returned to the bidder.
