PROJECT TITLE: SCI Somerset - Medium Voltage Upgrades. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES = (.4) $3,000.00 per day. There is no Bid Guaranty required for this Project. The Department of General Services Capital Programs and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. In addition, there will be no points allocated toward SDB/SB participation for this procurement. This is a significant programmatic change from the SDB and SB Participation program contained in prior Projects issued by Capital Programs. Proposers now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the Request for Proposals section regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise Participation for further information. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work encompassed under this RFP consists of the prime contract(s) (i.e., General, Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.) for the construction work identified on the cover sheet of this RFP and in the Notice to Proposers. The complete scope of work for this Project is further described by the Plans and Specifications (provided as Appendices to this RFP), which shall take precedence over this general description. For purposes of this solicitation, the Contract Work shall encompass all work set forth in Article I (The Contract Documents) and Article II (The Work) of the Standard Construction Contract included as an Appendix to this RFP.
