Description

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Welland, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a stadium; and clubhouse / community center.

Phased construction of a new recreation facility and arena. Scope of work to include: four NHL-sized ice pads (one with spectator seating); gymnasium and dryland training space; fitness centre and indoor walking track; multi-purpose and meeting rooms; community kitchen and event space; pro shop, food services, and a restaurant; and heritage displays and Hall of Fame. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. Feasibility Study was approved by Council April 2026. Next steps include applications for provincial and federal funding, as well as geotechnical evaluation and archeological assessment work. further update may be confirmed early 2027.
