Site work and paving for a road / highway in Delafield, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing to resurface approximately 4.9 miles of WIS 83 from Vettelson Road to the Oconomowoc River, in Waukesha County. The purpose of this project is to provide long-term improvements to the pavement, operation, and safety of the roadway. Other proposed improvements include: Reconstructing existing curb ramps to make them compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Replacing traffic signals at 4 intersections along WIS 83 at Campus Drive, WIS 16 westbound, WIS 16 eastbound, and Village Square Drive/W Capitol Drive. Reconstructing the intersection of WIS 83 and Pine Meadows Lane to increase safety. As of July 3, 2025, information regarding a design firm has not yet been established. Construction is not expected to begin until 2029.
