Reference Number 0000391813 The City of Durango invites interested, qualified persons or firms, capable of providing the required service to submit bids for improvements that generally consist of furnishing and installing a factory-built booster pump station, salvage of the existing factory pump station for future City use, furnishing and installing a backup generator, installing new pipelines with connections to the pump station and the existing waterlines, installation of two (2) gate valves, abandonment of the existing pipelines, installation of security fencing, extending and installing communication and electrical conduits, installing an electrical panel array, and restoring existing surface conditions. The pump station can only be shut down for a maximum of 5 hours during the switch from the existing pump station to the new pump station. All questions must be submitted via Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System website The project area is located at the entrance to the Rockridge neighborhood, near 2614 Borrego Dr, Durango, CO 81301. The project includes the replacement of the existing pump station with a factory-built pump station that is to be procured by the contractor. The existing pump station will be salvaged and stored on the project site for future use by the City of Durango. The proposed pump station replacement will require the installation of approximately 100 linear feet of ductile iron pipe, including the installation of one 8-inch gate valve and one 12-inch gate valve at the water main on Borrego Drive. The installation will require the relocation of the existing irrigation box and surface drainage features. It will also require the removal and replacement of one (1) 3-inch diameter tree. The contractor will install approximately 160 linear feet of security fencing around the pump station and generator site. It is the contractor's responsibility to provide temporary power to the pump station(s) during transformer upgrades and pump station cut-over. The contractor will furnish and install a backup generator on the project site, including the foundation and all associated conduits/electrical. The existing pump station must be salvaged prior to the installation of the generator, as detailed in the project schedule. The construction plans and specifications are included as attachments to this invitation. The City of Durango reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and minor irregularities in bids, and to accept the bid deemed, in the opinion of the City, to be in the best interest of the City of Durango.
