Renovation of a multi-residential development in Graysville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR HOME REHAB The County of Greene, an "Equal Opportunity Employer", will receive proposals for General Contractors to complete a home rehabilitation project in Graysville, Pa. Repairs will include, but are not limited to: roof replacement, window replacement, porch replacement, gutters/soffit/fascia, plumbing repair, ceiling repairs, bathroom repairs, and other minor interior and exterior repairs. This service will be funded in part by grant funds through the USDA Rural Housing Preservation Grant Program administered by the County of Greene and the USDA. The home rehab program is seeking General Contractors with a current Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) License & insurance to rehabilitate this home to correct code deficiencies. Required general contractor services for this projects may include, but are not limited to: following the scope of work prepared by the housing inspector for work; following detailed work descriptions which cause the subject structure to meet acceptable HUD Quality Standards and local building codes; progress inspections (to include photo documentation at required intervals) and, with consultation with the County Housing Inspector, securing and documenting of related costs for the needed work write- up repairs. The general contractor shall procure and maintain (at its expense) subcontractors to complete any area of work which the general contractor is not qualified to complete (i.e., HVAC or other areas requiring licensure for which the general contractor is not licensed to complete nor employs any worker possessing such qualifications). Contracts will be signed between the Contractor and the Homeowner(s), with the County managing the project and providing payment to the contractors at the following intervals (upon satisfactory progress inspections): mobilization 25% progress, and payments at 50%, 75% followed by final payment. Contractors must be able to work effectively and amicably with HOME Program Staff, homeowners, and inspectors involved in the projects.
