Construction of new 6", 8", 10", 12", and 16" water mains, including about 32,000 LF of 6"/8" PVC (PR-160) Water mains, 3,300 LF of 10" PVC (PR-160) Water mains, 5,200 LF of 12" PVC (PR-160) Water mains, 1,000 LF of 16" PVC (PR-160) Water mains, approximately 7,000 LF of directionally bored/jacked & bored water mains, locate and tie-in existing water mains to new water mains at 13 EA locations; associated valves, fittings, reconnection of existing water services, removal of the existing (abandoned) water line, miscellaneous clearing/sitework, and all associated and related work as called for on the drawings, indicated on the Bid Form, or reasonably implied. Contract Term: 365 calendar days Each BID must be accompanied by a BID bond payable to the OWNER for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the OWNER will return the BONDS of all except the three lowest responsible BIDDERS. When the Agreement is executed the bonds of the two remaining unsuccessful BIDDERS will be returned. The BID BOND of the successful BIDDER will be retained until the payment BOND and performance BOND have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A certified check may be used in lieu of a BID BOND. A performance BOND and a payment BOND each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within FORTY-FIVE (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the BIDDER. Roniger, P.E.; mitchell@spanglerengineering.com. Prospective Bidders shall obtain Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Monday-Thursday), and 8:00 am 12 noon (Friday), and may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office as described herein. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Office of the General Manager, Tangipahoa Water District; 46481 . Morrison Boulevard; Hammond, LA 70401. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "Spangler Engineering, LLC". Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Question Deadline 07/24/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing not less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the opening of bids. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
