Site work and paving for a road / highway in Caledonia, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Installed in two layers; 1-inch prewedging layer and a 2 inch top layer, shouldering the entire road with road gravel to a max width of 12 inches on each side. This bid includes the entire length of Old U, from HWY 78 to Hwy U. Scope of Work to be Performed 1. 100% paver laid Hot mix 3 inches thick, installed in two layers. First layer of min depth to reestablish roadbed and slopes (est to be 1 inch, more in road ruts). First layer to be compacted prior to the final layer of 2 inches. 2. Shouldering of entire road where possible to a width of 12 inches.. 3. All work shall be completed by September 30, 2025. 4. Bid proposals and award of contract shall be based on lump sum bid. 5. The Town of Caledonia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to add or remove portions of this project for budgeting or other purposes that are in the financial or other best interest of the Town. 6. The roadbed will have a 2 to 3 percent slope to the center of the roadbed. The contractor shall blend the slope into the overall lay of the roadbed. 7. Equipment and Employees: Contractor will furnish all machinery and equipment, labor and other necessary incidentals to properly clean, seal coat and roll various Town Roads. List of Employees (listed by job class), and Equipment (listed by piece) to be used on project shall be furnished. 8. Performance Bond: A performance bond may be required as a condition of award of contract. 9. Contract: Contractor will be required to sign a contract agreeing to these terms and specifications. 10. Documentation of asphalt, liquid asphalt and chip seal aggregate with slips with proper I.D. and dates shall be submitted with invoice to Town Clerk. 11. Insurance, Bid Bond & References: Contractors shall furnish a Certificate of Liability Insurance at the time proposals are submitted, unless valid, current Certificate is on file with Town Clerk. 12. References: Contractors who have previously not done so must submit references of work completed within a 40-mile radius at bid opening. 13. Traffic Control: The Contractor shall be responsible for all temporary traffic control and will advise the Columbia County Highway Dept. of all dates and times when work will be completed. All work will be done under traffic unless otherwise directed by the Town. 14. Bidder to supply estimated amounts of material to be used with adjustment prices for any storage or overage. 15. Any changes to the accepted bid must be in writing and approved by the Town Board. Caledonia Town Board reserves the right to change the scope of the project for budget or any other purpose. The Town of Caledonia also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
