Renovation of a library in Phoenix, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. The Burton Barr College Depot has an existing footprint of approximately 10,800 square feet. This project will reorganize the existing space and expand the current footprint by roughly 1,080 square feet, helping to mitigate current challenges associated with space limitations. The scope of improvements will include, but not limited to: _ Reorganization of existing College Depot layout _ Addition of small meeting rooms _ Addition of staff offices _ Addition of conference room _ Reworking existing mechanical distribution as needed for new spaces _ Reworking existing electrical and lighting as needed for new spaces _ Reworking existing tele/data, av, and security systems as needed for new spaces _ Reworking existing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems as needed for new spaces _ Soundproofing upgrades _ Work within the standards, materials, and fit & finish established during building design _ Project to be permitted through the AFP process At a minimum, the Contractor will be expected to successfully perform the following construction services, including, but not limited to: _ Providing all equipment, materials, transportation, managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to perform work as required. _ Completion of all work within 365 calendar days, beginning with the day following the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The time allowed for completion of the work includes lead time for obtaining the necessary materials and/or equipment and approvals. _ Conducting all work in accordance with MAG Uniform Standard Specifications and Details. _ Maintaining compliance with 2018 Phoenix Building Construction Code, 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, Ordinances, and Policies This is a federal-aid project. The prevailing basic hourly wage rates and fringe benefit payments, as determined by the Secretary of Labor pursuant to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act, shall be the minimum wages paid to the described classes of laborers and mechanics employed or working on the site to perform the contract. This project will utilize federal funds and is subject to the requirements of 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 and the U.S. Department of Transportation DBE Program. No goal has been established for this project. The City of Phoenix, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252.42 U.S.C. 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
