Bid Bond 5 % This project will include enhancements to the pedestrian bridge's substructure and superstructure. Elements of the bridge affected by the repairs are identified in the plans and specifications. Rebar replacement and concrete repairs are some of the main construction tasks. Regulatory agencies' permits and exemptions acquired: Miami-Dade County DRER: Class I Construction Permits acquired; US Army Corps of Engineers: No permit required correspondences; CMB Building Department: No permit required letters; and SFWMD: Environmental Resource General Permits acquired. Approvals to be obtained by Contractor: US Coast Guard: Construction Navigation Clearance, Miami-Dade County DRER: Class I Construction Permit - Notice of Commencement of Construction, and a CMB Public Works Right of Way Permit. Licensing Requirements. Bidder shall be State of Florida Certified General Contractor OR Miami Dade County Licensed General Contractor to be considered for award. Days for Substantial Completion: 140 days Days for Final Completion: 20 days Total Project Duration: 160 days Liquidated Damages: Failure to achieve Substantial Completion: $580.00/day, Failure to achieve Final Completion: $580.00/day
