Plans call for the redevelopment of the Pimlico Race Course, which has hosted the Preakness Stakes. Plans are to rebuild the track and modernize the facilities to include a new clubhouse, track & infield, flexible space, the construction of approximately 40 new buildings, including new barns and public event spaces. During the construction phase, Laurel Park will host the 2026 Preakness Stakes.
