A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** San Pablo Vacuum Lift Station includes engineering design phase services for the vacuum station improvements due to aging infrastructure. The vacuum system was constructed almost 20 years ago with minimal upgrades or improvements completed previously. Improvements involving the main vacuum station rehabilitation include replacing end-of-life components such as vacuum pumps, sewage pumps, control panel, deficient service crane, odor control system, and other HVAC and ventilation improvements. The Project has an expected duration of 275 days. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. Surety and Contractor, intending to be legally bound hereby, subject to the terms set forth in this Performance Bond, do each cause this Performance Bond to be duly executed by an authorized officer, agent, or representative. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
