Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Summerville, South Carolina. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
As of August 1, 2025, the project was identified as a request for information. The splashpad includes a large decorative blue "river" made of embedded tile. The tile is now cracking, delaminating, and creating tripping hazards. Quotes have been received to remove the tile and replace it with a Tuff Coat rubberized coating system; however, the County is unsure if this is the most durable or appropriate solution for the long term. Quotes have also been obtained for removing the tile and replacing it with new tile. Splashpad can be visited during normal park hours.
