The KDOT Waterline Relocation Project for PWWSD No. 5 consists of the relocation of approximately 2,580 LF of 8" HDPE DR11 waterline. This includes but is not limited to: piping, tracer wire with test stations, valves, state/federal highway crossings (access approach), named tributary cased crossings, casing pipe, carrier pipe, connection to existing mains and all associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. No pre-bid conference. A certified check drawn on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the bid must accompany each bid proposal as bid security. Questions from material suppliers or equipment suppliers will only be considered through general contractors and sub-contractors. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Request for consideration of "equivalent" products will only be considered in writing from general contractors and sub-contractors. No requests for alternate or "equivalent" products will be considered within ten (10) days prior to Bid opening. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. No pre-bid conference will be held.
