The City of West Chicago is seeking professional contractual services to perform all work and to provide and/or furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, machinery, transportation, appurtenances, services, and all other incidentals necessary to complete in a workmanlike manner all work required for the 2025 Water Treatment Plant Waste Lime Sludge Removal Project. Scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, removing approximately 7,000 wet tons of waste lime sludge from one of the three Water Treatment Plant storage lagoons located at 1400 W. Hawthorne Lane in West Chicago, Illinois. All questions regarding the bid shall be emailed to Eddie A Ramos, Water Treatment Plant Superintendent, eramos@westchicago.org. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid. Bid bond shall be in the form of a bid bond (IDOT form 12230 or equal), certified check or cashier check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States and shall be made payable to the City of West Chicago. All bids not accompanied by a bid deposit will be rejected. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the scheduled closing time for a period of sixty (60) days. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor-Mechanical Payment Bond, both in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount as a security for the faithful performance of this contract and as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract, respectively. Minorities and Women-Owned Businesses (MBE/WBE) are encouraged to submit bids on these services. Event Bid Description: All bid proposals are to be made on the forms provided and will be made as part of the contract documents to be executed with the City. Bid proposals are to be received in an opaque, sealed envelope. The envelope shall be marked: 2025 WATER TREATMENT PLANT WASTE LIME SLUDGE Removal, and the name of the bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any informality in any bid proposal, to readvertise the proposed services, and to accept the proposal most advantageous to the City
