Scope of Work- DUPAGE AIRPORT FLIGHT CENTER DRY PIPE REPLACEMENT PROJECT The project on which bids are invited is generally and briefly described herein as FLIGHT CENTER DRY PIPE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT FOR THE DUPAGE AIRPORT AUTHORITY LOCATED IN WEST CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. Contractor's scope of work to include a complete replacement of the dry pipe sprinkler system serving the Flight Center. This includes the dry pipe valve, all existing dry piping, and associated sprinklers. 2. A complete dry pipe sprinkler system shall be provided. See enclosed as-built drawings for reference of the current dry pipe system. 3. A new nitrogen generator shall be provided to serve the dry pipe system. The nitrogen generator shall be sized in accordance with the Contractor's design. Nitrogen generator shall be installed in the fire pump room. 4. Provide new sprinkler heads to serve all dry pipe areas. Sprinkler heads shall be spaced to match current hazard class for each space. If a space needs a higher density hazard class due to updates in the code, the Contractor shall provide the higher density coverage at no extra cost to the Owner. 5. Contractor shall include in their bid all electrical work including but not limited to disconnect and make safe for removal of existing air compressor, power connection to new nitrogen generator, and all fire alarm wiring and programming as required for removal of fire alarm devices associated with the dry pipe valve associated as well as new fire alarm devices for the nitrogen generator.
