The Town of Hermosa, South Dakota is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting engineering firms to provide the Town with drainage and sanitary sewer assessment and preliminary design services. The project will build on flood mitigation and drainage assessment work the town has done to date. It will include assessment, feasibility analysis, and preliminary design. The intent is to identify and prioritize drainage and sewer projects through feasibility analysis and conceptual design. The prioritized projects will be those that provide the most flood and drainage resiliency for the community and will improve equity outcomes by mitigating flood risk while strengthening the community's overall resilience to disasters. This project is funded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Grant Program. As a recipient of BRIC funding, The Town of Hermosa is committed to ensuring that all aspects of this project comply with FEMA's grant requirements, including but not limited to federal procurement standards, reporting obligations, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. All proposals submitted in response to this RFP must acknowledge that the funding for this project is made possible through a grant from FEMA BRIC. The successful bidder will be required to adhere to all grant conditions and provide any necessary documentation to support compliance with FEMA regulations.
