PROJECT NAME: Sugar Maple Farms Road Improvements PROJECT ID: Sussex County Project T25-40 PROJECT LOCATION: Sugar Maple Farms subdivision consisting of sixty-six (66) individual lots and privately owned and maintained streets, located off State Route 1 south of the Town of Milfred in Cedar Creek Hundred. exercise PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK: Road improvements generally consist of reconstruction and overlay of approximately 7,300 LF of existing subdivision streets, including but not limited to road surface preparation, mill-in-place operation, pavement patching, pavement overlay, driveway/entrance tie-ins, edge grading/stabilization, maintenance of traffic, and final restoration as necessary to complete the Work. E. PROJECT WORK LIMITS: All work will occur within the private street network except for tie-in at the community entrance off State Route 1. Bids are being sought from Contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment required to performing pavement repairs and improvements to the street network within the Sugar Maple Farms community in accordance with the specifications and details provided herein; including but not limited to pavement preparation, pavement milling and patching, pavement overlay, driveway adjustments, edge grading/stabilization, maintenance of traffic, and site restoration as required to complete all work specified. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee equivalent to ten (10) percent of the amount of the base bid and all alternates. The bid guarantee may be a certified check or a bid bond secured by a surety authorized to do business in Delaware. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to Sussex County Council. The submission shall be confidential until the bid has been awarded and a contract has been executed. Thereafter, all submissions shall be open to public inspection. Federal or State scale wage rates are NOT applicable on this Project. Liquid Asphalt Cement Cost Adjustment and Diesel Fuel Index are NOT applicable to this Project. Sussex County reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening on not less than two (2) calendar days' notice by electronic means to those who have obtained copies of the Contract Documents.
