**As of August 19th, 2025 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded tonight on their council meeting.** Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Project consists of generally, installation of approximately 4,500 L.F. of 8" and 17,000 L.F. of 6" water main, 60 gates valves, 10 hydrant assembly, bored steel casing , directional boring, open cut and patch and all appurtenances necessary for the project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and Time with the low bidder.
