The two selected alleys have a total length of approximately 1,100 feet. The permeable pavement portion of the alleys will be 8 feet wide located in the center of the alley and will consist of 18" of CA 1 Bedding, 4" of CA 7 Base Course, 2" of CA-16 and permeable pavers. The permeable paver section will be bordered by 4 foot wide concrete pavement. Average width of the alleys is 16 feet. Due to impervious clay throughout most of the City, alleys will require a perforated discharge pipe to the local combined sewer system. Also included is reconstruction of garage aprons, sewer work, tree removal and all associated work.
