Renovation of a municipal facility in Park Ridge, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.

As of November 19, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Public Works Service Center Painting & Repairs. The City of Park Ridge is accepting bids from highly qualified contractors to paint and repair specific exterior building components at the Public Works Service Center located at 400 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, Illinois. The primary scope of work (Bid Form Section A) for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following exterior building components: o Preparation and painting of approximately 1,400+ linear feet of various heights of Service Center Building and walls including surfaces such as red CMU block, metal, wood and stucco areas. (Example Photo 1,2,3) o Preparation, sanding, priming, and painting metal lentils. o Preparation, sanding, priming, and painting all overhead door lentils and frames. o Preparation, sanding, priming, and painting of Salt Barn (top section only) o Replacing approximately five (5) CMU blocks located along the rear (southwest) side of building (Example Photo 4). o Repairing approximately 310 linear feet of control joint sealant caulking. (Example Photo 5) o Minor repair and repainting of stucco area in front of building. B. Optional work (Bid Form Section B) for this project includes the following: o Preparation (power wash) and sealing exterior plain capstone and CMU block with a Thompson's water seal type product approved by the Superintendent of Public Works. Color Scheme and Paint Type All surfaces will be painted with the same colors and paint type as follows: a. Red CMU block - Thorocoat paint (previously used) or equivalent approved by the Superintendent of Public Works. b. Metal lentils/fleet overhead door and frames- Oil-based enamel paint approved by the Superintendent of Public Works. c. Salt Barn -exterior acrylic paint approved by the Superintendent of Public Works. Description of Work A. Surface preparation shall include power washing. Additional preparation may include sanding, scraping, patching, caulking, and/or mildew removal where needed to accomplish work in compliance with industry standards. B. Apply prime coat to surfaces, as needed, prior to finish coat in accordance with industry standards. C. Apply one complete finish coat of paint type and color specified in "Color Scheme and Paint Type." Finished surfaces shall be uniformly coated and free of runs, drips, sags, brush marks, or other defects. Such defects shall be corrected without change in Contract Price. D. Repair and repaint stucco area in front of building. E. Replace five (5) CMU blocks located along the rear (southwest) side of building. F. Repair approximately 310 linear feet of control joint sealant caulking. G. All paint shall be applied in strict accordance with the applicable manufacturer's printed data sheet and container label outlining recommended minimum and maximum surface and air temperatures required for application. H. Protect adjacent surroundings against splash or overspray. Remove materials from surfaces not designated to receive such materials. I. The Contractor shall keep the site of the Work and adjacent premises as free from material, debris, and rubbish as is practicable, and shall remove same from any portion of the site, if, in the opinion of the Owner's Representative, such material, debris, or rubbish constitutes a nuisance or is objectionable in any way to the public. The Contractor shall remove all machinery, materials, barricades, staging, false-work, debris, and rubbish connected with, or caused by said Work, immediately upon the completion of the same and shall clean all structures and Work constructed under this Contact to the satisfaction of the Owner's Representative and leave the premises in an approved condition insofar as affected by the Work under this Contact. J. Each day before the Contract shuts down Work operations for the day, the Contractor shall clean all areas in/around/adjacent to the Work site of all dirt, mud, coating debris, waste rags, or other items deposited thereupon resulting from the Work. Storage and work areas shall be kept clean. K. Any other alteration or deviation to this specification must be approved by the Superintendent of Public Works.
