**As of October 22, 2025, project was awarded, start date will be May 2026** CITY OF RISING SUN will receive sealed bids for DOWNEY STREET TOWER PAINTING 2025 (the Project ). This project includes painting the interior and exterior of one (1) elevated 300,000-gallon water storage tank based on complete removal of existing interior and exterior coatings and applying stripe coat, prime coat, intermediate coat, and finish coat on interior and exterior of tank. All work must be completed by November 1, 2025. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the Project, the name and address of Bidder and the Division of work. All bids must be submitted on the bid forms as identified in the Contract Documents and Specifications. A bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each bid. Bid security shall be forfeited if a bid is withdrawn after the time and date set for receiving bids. Upon award of a contract but prior to the execution of a contract between the City of Rising Sun and the Contractor, the Contractor shall provide one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company. No bidder may withdraw any bid or proposal within a period of ninety (90) days following the date set for receiving bids or proposals. The City of Rising Sun reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to reject bids that do not meet the qualifications outlined in this Notice or in the bidding documents and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bidding process or in any bid. The City of Rising Sun further reserves the right to reject all bids, should the City of Rising Sun determine that the contemplated cost of construction is not economically feasible. The City of Rising Sun reserves the right to hold any or all bids or proposals for a period of not more than ninety (90) days and said bids or proposal shall remain in full force and effect during said period. The City of Rising Sun reserves the right to reject and/or cancel any and all bids, solicitations and/or offers in whole or in part as specified in the solicitations.
