Sleeping Turtles Preserve South - STPS Morgan Property is located at 3905 E. Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34292. B. In October 2024, the park sustained fence damage due to Hurricane Milton. C. The County requires the services of a qualified contractor to replace the approximately 1,182 linear feet of fence line using new materials as described herein ("Project"). D. Removal and disposal of the damaged fence-including posts and concrete footings, where applicable-is included in this Scope of Work and shall be provided by the awarded Contractor at no additional cost. While some of the debris has been consolidated into a pile, additional fence materials may remain scattered along the fence line. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site to assess the full extent of debris removal required. E. The Project location map and site photographs are included as Attachments 1 and 2, respectively. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES A. Every Contractor crew must include at least one employee on site who can effectively communicate in English. B. Contractor will coordinate work to ensure minimal to no disruption to daily operations at the park, if applicable. C. Contractor is responsible for any damage to County or third-party property caused by their personnel. All damaged property must be restored to the County's satisfaction. D. Contractor is required to participate in performance and project report meetings as deemed necessary by the County. E. Contractor shall be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. F. Contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment necessary to perform the services described herein. G. Contractor shall ensure conditions on the work site reflect good housekeeping and safety practices at all times. Contractor shall be responsible for all trash and debris disposal from the work site. REQUIREMENTS The fence shall span approximately 1,182 linear feet and be 8 feet in height, constructed in a pressure-treated board-on-board style. Posts shall be 12-foot, pressure-treated 4" x 6" lumber set in concrete footers. Each 8-foot dog-ear picket shall be secured using coated or stainless steel screws. Contractor shall maintain the work site in a clean, orderly, and safe condition at all times, reflecting good housekeeping and safety practices. Contractor is responsible for the removal and proper disposal of all trash and debris generated during the project. PROJECT DURATION A. 5. All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of receipt of the County-issued Purchase Order. INVOICING AND PAYMENT A. B. 6. Contractor shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of all work, as determined by the County. Invoicing and payment shall be as described in the General Terms and Conditions of Purchase Orders. WARRANTY All work and materials provided by Contractor shall be fully warrantied for one year from the date of the County's acceptance of the work, or for the standard warranty period offered by Contractor or the materials manufacturer, whichever is greater. 7. PERMITS Contractor is responsible for determining if a permit is required for the work and shall obtain all necessary permits. Contractor shall be reimbursed for the cost of the permit fee only. No percent markup shall be paid to Contractor for permit fees. Contractor's invoices for permits must include supporting documentation, clearly showing the cost paid by Contractor for the permit.
