Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a clubhouse / community center in Linden, Michigan. Working plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a 2,100-square-foot, one-story above grade clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The City of Linden is seeking licensed professional design build services for the design, engineering and renovation of the interior of the Annex building and addition. It is the intent of Looses to provide its members of the center and community with a safe environment with aesthetic updates to the interior. The City of Linden makes no representations, warranties or agreements with respect to this RFP. In addition, the City makes no commitment to purchase any products or services or take any other action, including but not limited to, awarding a contract to the individual/firm submitting the most qualified responsive proposal. Loose reserves the right to amend or cancel this RFP at any time for any or no reason. All amendments to this RFP shall be in writing. Goals for Minority Participation in Each Trade 12.6% Goals for Female Participation in Each Trade 7.0% Reference Number 0000392658 Bid Intent Not Available Design Build Services for Renovation and Addition to the Loose Senior Center The principal items of work include: The building's interior is outdated and in need of full renovation to support current programmatic needs and to provide a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment. In addition to these interior improvements, the project will also include the construction of a new building addition to expand usable space and enhance connectivity within the facility. This project will be delivered through a design-build model, where a single firm is responsible for the complete design, engineering, permitting, and construction of all components. The scope includes, but is not limited to: interior upgrades to flooring, ceilings, lighting, HVAC systems, restrooms, and finishes to the existing Annex structure, as well as the design and construction of the new addition, with full coordination and integration into the existing building. In addition, both project phases are expected to be awarded to a single contractor. Awards will be based on a phased schedule and funded through two separate sources. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who first meets all qualifications. Bids must be good for 120 days amount of time. Phase I price includes items for the Design Build Addition (2.8 & 2.91).
