Scope of Work Items - Furnish and Install various rehabilitation materials and labor to include: New Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors to Code, Misc. Lead Based Paint items per Paradigm Report, - LBP Item, Scrape & Paint Siding, Fascia, Soffit and Apertures - LBP Item, Seventeen (17) New Vinyl Replacement Windows - LBP Item, New Exterior Storm Door, New Asphalt Shingled Roof on the entirety of the structure and New Vinyl Gutters. The contractor will ensure that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this NYS CDBG-assisted project will be extended to lower-income project area residents. Further, the contractor will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area, in the award of contracts and purchase of services and supplies. The Contractor shall perform all services and furnish all materials necessary to make the improvements described in the "Work Write-Up/Scope of Work" required by the Program and attached hereto as Attachment A. No charge for any extra work or material will be allowed unless the same has been ordered and approved by the Participant and the LPA on a formal Change Order. Any additional work for which the Participant(s) wishes to retain the Contractor that goes beyond the improvements described in the Work Write-Up/Scope of Work must be subject to a separate agreement between the Participant and the Contractor. General Items/ Spec: A.) Painting shall Include at a minimum, 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. Paint and primer shall be manufactured by Valspar or approved equal. If work is performed in a bathroom or kitchen, the paint shall be approved for the particular location. Interior paint shall indicate "interior latex" and Exterior paint shall Indicate "exterior latex". Colors and finish (gloss shall be chosen from "standard colors" by owner. B.) Plumbing materials- Sanitary sewer drains shall be of Schedule 40 PVC or match existing. Traps and appurtenances may be of thin-walled PVC or equal. Waterlines and fittings shall be of type "K" copper, PVC and /or Pex C.) Any items removed as part of the project shall become property of the Contractor and shall be hauled off-site unless tagged by owner for re-use
