: Avery Creek and Barnett Branch Trail Bridge Replacements Location The two subject trail bridges are located on the Pisgah District of the Pisgah National Forest, northeast of Brevard, North Carolina. Trail Bridge locations are as follows: Avery Creek Trail Bridge: The project site is located about 0.2 mile from Avery Creek Road (FSR-477) at Lat.:35.31705, Long.:-82.75088. Take Hwy 276 heading north, about 0.6 miles past Pisgah Ranger Station, turn right onto Avery Creek Rd. Proceed about 2.3 miles along Avery Creek Rd. to trailhead, pulloff on right. Walk down trail about 0.2 mile to bridge site. Barnett Branch Trail Bridge: The project site is located about 0.7 mile from Yellow Gap Road (FSR1206) at Lat.:35.36161, Long.:-82.76114. Take Hwy 276 heading north, about 10.3 miles past Pisgah Ranger Station, turn right onto Yellow Gap Rd. Proceed about 1.3 miles along Yellow Gap Rd. to trailhead, pull-off on right. Walk down trail about 0.7 mile to bridge site. This work consists of furnishing, fabricating, and constructing two glulam trail bridges, including all required lumber, hardware, sills, backwalls, rail systems, curbs, decking, excavation, backfill, and approach fills as SHOWN ON THE PLANS and in accordance with the specifications. 180 Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). Anticipated award / NTP: May 2025. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, supervision, transportation, and all incidentals necessary to perform all of the work required AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS and in acceptable conformity with the lines, grades, design, and dimensions shown in the project site plans.
