The City is requesting submittals from construction firms to provide on-call general contracting services. Park projects may include new construction, equipment replacements, renovations, and/or deferred maintenance. The contractor should have experience in all aspects of parks construction including but not limited to: demolition, grading, drainage, concrete, asphalt paving, irrigation systems, electrical, plumbing, playground equipment installation, shade structures, fencing, sport courts, sport fields, signage, and landscape planting. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS All contractors must carry an A (General Engineering Contractor) and a C-27 (Landscape Contractor) contractor's license issued by the State of California. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS All contractors must: (1) have completed at least five "public works" projects for public agencies within the last five years, and (2) have experience with prevailing wage labor compliance, have not been fined for labor compliance violations, are registered with, and are in good standing with, the State Department of Industrial Relations. In addition, it is preferred that contractors have experience with the LCPTracker software for labor compliance reporting. There is a 5% Local Business Enterprise (LBE) Preference.
