Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Palmyra, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Countywide Paving 1. Sheriff;s Department Parking Lot (approximately 2,622 SY) 1. Location: 160 Commons Blvd., Palmyra 2. Edge mill along all curbs, sidewalks, and tie-ins for smooth transitions. 3. Overlay existing parking lot with 2" surface asphalt (see Attachment F page 1, highlighted blue). 4. Remove and reset all parking blocks. 5. Apply new pavement markings to match existing layout. 2. Kents Store Fire Department - Rear and Side Pavement (approximately 1,050 SY) 1. Location: 51 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 2. Edge mill along all curbs, sidewalks, and tie-ins for smooth transitions. 3. Overlay existing parking lot with 2.5" surface asphalt. 4. Remove and reset all parking blocks. 5. Apply new pavement markings to match existing layout. 3. Add Alternate: Kents Store Fire Department - Full Pavement (approximately 1,930 SY) 1. Location: 51 Kents Store Way, Kents Store, VA 2. Edge mill along all curbs, sidewalks, and tie-ins for smooth transitions. 3. Overlay entire parking lot with 2.5" surface asphalt (see Attachment F page 3, highlighted yellow). 4. Remove and reset all parking blocks. 5. Apply new pavement markings to match existing layout. 4. Convenience Center Entrance Road - Heavy Duty Pavement (Old Landfill) (approximately 394 SY) 1. Location: 11206 W. River Road, Fork Union, VA 2. Edge mill along all curbs, sidewalks, and tie-ins for smooth transitions. 3. Overlay existing road with 2.5" heavy-duty surface asphalt suitable for large transfer truck traffic (see Attachment F page 4, highlighted yellow). 4. Repair existing road to serve as a suitable substrate for overlay. 5. Convenience Center Entrance Road - Ditch Reshape and Road Buildup at Pipes (Old Landfill) 1. Location: 11206 W. River Road, Fork Union, VA 2. Build up road at drainage pipes (low point) with a +4' elevation change using compacted stone fill, millings, or asphalt suitable as a substrate for 2.5" of heavyduty surface asphalt overlay (see Attachment F page 5 pictures). 3. Recontour existing ditches on both sides of the road. 4. Extend drainage pipes as needed to meet code requirements without adding guardrails. 6. Pleasant Grove Park (approximately 10,526 SY) 1. Location: 271 Pleasant Grove Drive, Palmyra, VA 2. Grade all parking areas adding any underlay as needed for paving. 3. Pave all areas 2.5 inches compacted to 2 inches using SM9.5A asphalt. All asphalt mixes shall comply with VDOT requirements and guidelines noted on Attachment G. 7. Pleasant Grove Park 1. Add nine (9) speed bumps at the locations noted on Attachment G. Submission of bids by facsimile will not be accepted. The County reserves the right to waive formalities and to reject any or all bids. The Bidder shall be presumed to have made a reasonable inspection of the Properties and site before the time of Bid submission and shall be held responsible for all information available through such inspections; submission of a Bid will be a confirmation that the Bidder did make a site inspection and is aware of all conditions affecting performance and price(s) submitted. Should a Bidder find discrepancies in the scope of work or drawings or be in doubt as to the meaning or intent of any part thereof, the Bidder must request c A successfully completed Project shall mean: 1) that the Project was completed within Ninety (90) calendar days of the issuance of Notice to Proceed; 2) that the Project was completed at or below the contract award amount, including any subsequent County-approved cost change orders; and 3) that the Project was completed in strict conformance and in accordance with the Contract documents.
