Fluvanna County is seeking qualified licensed contractors to furnish, deliver, supply, and install all necessary labor and materials associated with the completion of any and all necessary or appropriate work at the Fluvanna County Historic Courthouse WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following. 1. Limited site work including concrete steps, landing, and gutters, brick paving, and metal handrails. 2. Landscaping including trimming existing-to-remain trees adjacent to the building and the removal and/or replacement of select plantings to accommodate the work on the building and its immediate perimeter. 3. Restoration of the exterior including roofing, masonry, stucco, openings, and exterior finish work. a. Remove existing slate roofing, recycling of usable shingles for future use elsewhere, repair wood roof structure and framing, and install new slate shingle roofing system using Owner-furnished slate shingles. A new bell enclosure, which includes new framing and support along with the restoration of the historic bell, and sheet metal work are also included. b. Masonry work includes cleaning of existing brick, repair/replacement of damaged brick, and repointing. Columns and pilasters will have existing finish coat of stucco removed and a new finish coat installed following repair of brick.
