This USDAAnimal and Plant Health Inspection Service construction requirement is for the removal of metal corrugated siding from building 6418 at Moore Air Base in Edinburg Texas Itrsquos to be replaced with Hebel wall panels or equal Background Building 6418 at Moore Air Base is a Mexican Fruit Fly Rearing Facility The Mexican Fruit Fly Program is charged with the eradication of Mexican Fruit Flies from the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas and the northern municipalities of Tamaulipas Mexico This project is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business firms only The NAICS code is 238170 ndash Siding Contractors with a small business size standard of $19 million, It is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor this site for the solicitation and amendments if any Questions concerning this synopsis should be directed to Jim Roloff contracting officer at james.g.roloff@usda.gov. The solicitation documents are posted below The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 4.1 Larval Rooms - Exterior Roof and Walls Measurements: The building 6418 larval room walls measure 60' (L - NW wall) X 65' (S wall) X 50' (SE wall). The roof measures 60'L X 65'W - Sq. 4.2 Insulation Installation: Install Hebel (or equal) wall insulation to the exterior of building 6418 larval rooms. 4.2.1 Demolition: Remove the existing exterior metal corrugated sheeting from the walls of the 6418 larval rooms. Clean and prepare the structure for the new siding insulation. The roof corrugated sheeting will not be removed. The roof must be washed and prepared to receive insulation that is installed on the existing roof in spray form or corrugated panel friendly. 4.2.2 New Construction: Install new Hebel (or equal) insulation on building 6418 larval room walls. Insulation connections must be tight to prevent critters, bugs, or ambient weather from entering the building. Install spray foam or corrugated panel friendly roof insulation, maintaining a barrier that prevents critters, bugs, or ambient weather from entering the building. The roof insulation must be chemical and high traffic resistant. Contractor must comply with applicable codes, environmental regulations in the State of Texas and local ordinances. o All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Local codes and standards. o All work to be performed by EPA-certified technicians and executed in a professional, workman like manner. o All equipment and material installed on this project shall be new and unused unless otherwise noted. o All work to be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday unless otherwise noted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
