The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to construct CDBG-MIT Flood and Drainage Mitigation Project Activity No. 3 - Rabbs Bayou Improvements; and Activity No. 4 - Rabbs Detention Pond in the City of Rosenberg, and the City ETJ, Fort Bend County, Texas. The project includes but is not limited to providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and plans to construct approximately 1325 Linear foot of channel improvements including box culverts and a detention pond. b. The Project Site. The project is located along the existing Rabbs Bayou within a dedicated 50-foot wide drainage easement and existing right-of-way. Key Map No.605-F and 605-G. a. Execute cutting (including excavating and backfilling), fitting or patching of the work required to: (1) Make several parts fit properly. (2) Uncover work to provide for installation of ill-timed work. (3) Remove and replace defective work. (4) Remove and replace work not conforming to requirements of the contract documents. (5) Remove samples of installed work as specified for testing. (6) Install specified work in existing construction. b. In addition to contract requirements, upon written instruction of the Engineer: (1) Uncover work to provide for observation of covered work. (2) Remove samples of installed materials for testing. (3) Remove work to provide for alteration of existing work. c. Do not endanger any work by cutting or altering the work or any part of it. d. Do not cut or alter the work of another Contractor without written consent by the Engineer. e. Prior to cutting which affects structural safety of the project, or the work of another Contractor, secure written approval by the Engineer. a. This section specifies the requirements for furnishing, installing, relocating, maintaining, and subsequently removing the temporary traffic channelizing devices required in the City of Rosenberg. The following devices are specified herein: (1) Barricades, Types I, II, and III (2) Cones, tubular and conical (3) Drums (4) Vertical panels (5) High level warning devices The work includes demolition of materials and equipment. Demolition work includes removal of the following items and all else specified on construction plans: a. General Work Items and Utilities. (1) Existing Asphalt Pavement (2) Existing Fence Waste material disposal consists of disposal of trees, stumps, logs, brush, roots, grass, vegetation, humus, rubbish and other objectionable matter from operations such as clearing and grubbing, excavation and grading. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of waste material. 1. Under this Contract, the Contractor shall furnish all material, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services, and all labor and supervision necessary for the work as described in these Specifications. The completed project shall not lack any part, which can be reasonably implied as necessary to its proper completion, nor any subsidiary item, which is customarily furnished, or provided. Furthermore, the completed project shall comply in every respect with all applicable City of Rosenberg Codes and Ordinances. 2. Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: a. Roadway improvements, including removal of the existing pavement and installing new asphalt pavement and concrete pavement, subgrade, and base. b. Furnishing and installing storm sewer system including, reinforced concrete pipe culvert, reinforced concrete box culvert, inlets, manholes, junction boxes, and all appurtenances. c. Embankment and fill of existing detention pond. d. Furnishing and installing water line and sanitary sewer line and all appurtenances.
