Renovation of an educational facility in Weston, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
West Platte R-II School District is currently seeking bids for a 2025 Partial Reroof The West Platte R-II School District is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or companies for the partial complete tear-off and reroof of approximately 6,548 square feet of roof at West Platte High School. Refer to the attached drawing at the end of this packet for the section of roof location. The District is seeking a reliable, cost-efficient roofing contractor that meets the listed specifications. Question Deadline 07/21/2025 at 2:00 PM CT Questions related to the scope of the project, or regarding submission should be directed to: Mr. Brock Dover, Superintendent (816) 640-2236 doverb@wpsd.net The successful contractor shall be responsible for the following: 1. Complete tear-off of the existing roofing system down to the existing metal deck in the area indicated in the attached plans. 2. Complete removal of all sheet metal flashings, counter flashings, roof edge, copings and scuppers. 3. Raise all of the rooftop equipment to be 8" above the new roof membrane elevation. The height of the equipment curbs will need to be extended using treated 2x wood blocking. 4. Raise the existing gas piping, ductwork and electrical conduit to accommodate new roof system. 5. Painting existing gas lines. 6. Provide a new 60 mil. TPO roof system, 1/2" fiberglass faced gyp. board cover board, tapered polyiso insulation, faced flat polyiso insulation (R30 minimum, two-layers) on existing metal roof deck. The TPO membrane flashing shall go up and over all parapets, roof edges and mechanical curbs. 7. Provide new scuppers, copings, roof edge, expansion joints, flashing, pitch pans and downspouts. Connect new downspouts into existing underground collector drains at service drive. 8. Rake and provide new silicone sealant at open masonry control joints, lintel joints and reglet joints. 9. The solution shall include the purchase, removal, delivery and installation of said items to satisfy the requirements as outlined in these specifications. The specifications are included in this document. 10. Allowance: The Contractor shall include a $10,000 Allowance in their bid for miscellaneous unforeseen conditions discovered during construction. All of the unused Owner Contingency Allowance will be returned to the School District via Change order at the end of the project.
