Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 107,000-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Twining K-8 School, Bid Package - 1 McGough Construction Co. LLC, in partnership with Construction Engineers ("Construction Managers"), is soliciting proposals as Construction Managers at Risk for the Grand Forks Public Schools ("Owner") Grand Forks Air Force Base Twining K-8 School - Bid Package #1. The scope of Bid Package #1 is for the site fence and demolition of the existing facility. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring proposals are received before the deadline. Late proposals will not be considered. The Construction Manager reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the project. This project complies with the North Dakota Century Code. This Project includes Federal funding and therefore requires compliance with relevant federal statutes, Executive Orders, and other rules which shall be specified in the bidding documents and project information. These requirements include, but are not limited to, compliance with: 2 CFR part 200, Build America, Buy America Act, Buy American Preference for Infrastructure Projects, Davis-Bacon Act, and Drug Free Workplace. Removal and disposal of the asbestos-containing materials was performed as follows: o Work was performed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations. o Work areas were isolated from the general public and other parts of the building i All works areas were pre-cleaned to remove any visible debris. i Warning signs were posted, and regulated areas established i Work area entrance was limited to certified personnel i Decontamination units were constructed for each area i Amended water was used to reduce fiber release. i HEPA air filtration devices were set in all areas to capture airborne particulates o All friable ACM was removed using Class I work methods. o All non-friable ACM was removed using Class II work methods. o Vermiculite was removed using a trailer-mounted HEPA vacuum o ACM was placed in leak-tight containers and labeled according to State and Federal regulations. All regulated waste was manifested prior to shipment. o All work areas were final cleaned using by HEPA Vacuum and wet wipe techniques. o Visual inspections were performed at the completion of work in each work area. The Subcontractor is an independent contractor and shall provide and pay for all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, utilities, layout, hoisting, protection, scaffolding, appliances, quality assurance, field measurements, shop drawings and samples, and all other items necessary to perform fully this Subcontract in conformance with the Contract Documents (see Article 2) for the installation, completion, and operation of all Subcontract Work. This Subcontract includes: (a) all Subcontract Work shown on or reasonably implied by any of the Contract Documents as if called for or shown on all documents, and (b) all things necessary to complete the Subcontract Work for use for its intended purpose in conformance with the Contract Documents or otherwise customarily provided in Subcontractor's line of Subcontract Work.
